Mine surveying

From a scan or a drone survey to volumes and drawings. Point clouds, surfaces, sections and the plan in one project.

  • Point clouds from LAS, LAZ, E57 and PLY, whole
  • Thinning, noise removal, ground classification, registration by points and ICP
  • Surface from the cloud, volume and comparison of two surveys
  • Crests and toes, sections, contours, volume between surfaces
  • Lines at a grade, draping on a surface, elevation labels, measurements
  • Drawings to AutoCAD and back through DXF; printing sheets to PDF

How it goes

1

Import

Load the scan or the drone survey; the cloud is kept whole, without thinning on import.

2

Clean

Remove noise, thin the cloud and classify the ground; register two surveys to each other.

3

Surface

Build the surface from the cloud and compare it with the design or the previous survey.

4

Volumes

Get the volume between surfaces, by bench or by outline.

5

Plan

Draw crests and toes, sections and contours; print the sheets or pass them to AutoCAD as DXF.
